Recently, Dr. Stephen Roeder, the dean of the Imperial Valley campus, announced that the campus would not be registering new students at the campus for the spring 2010 semester due to budget issues.

This report is titled “What SDSU is Doing to the Imperial Valley Campus,” and was compiled and produced by SDSU Imperial Valley Campus graduate students Vivian Perez, Teresa Santiago, and Juan Alvarez.
In the report, the students claim the campus has lost at least nine faculty positions since the academic year 2004-2005. According to the report, the students examined the SDSU-Imperial Valley campus catalog and enrollment figures for the last eight years. The students found that while one academic division gained three faculty positions since the 2004-2005 academic year, two other academic divisions lost a total of 12 positions since 2004-2005.
