Direct Auto Plaza in El Centro will be losing its Chrysler franchise.In a another blow to the Imperial Valley economy, the Chrysler corporation has notified Direct Auto Plaza in El Centro that the Chrysler brand will no longer be sold at the dealership.

It's a concept that even ten years ago would have seemed far-fetched: generating fuel from something as common as algae, an abundant commodity in Imperial County. But the times and technology have combined to possibly make Imperial County a launching pad for algae fuel production.
